Palettes of Famous Painters

It's fascinating to look at the palettes of artists whose work has made lasting impressions on the character of their art. The palettes often show more depth into the painter's techniques and emotions. Below are a few famous painters' palettes, which are incredibly diverse.

Eugene Delacroix (Palette)
Eugene Delacroix painted "Liberty Leading the People" after the French Revolution, as his contribution to the war effort, since he didn't fight for his country. The painting has been seen as a mark of the end of the Age of Enlightenment; as the end of the French Revolution is seen as the start of the romantic era.

Georges Seurat (Palette)
Seurat contrasted miniature dots of colors that, through optical unification, form a single hue in the viewer's eye. He believed that this form of painting,  known as pointillism would make the colors more brilliant and powerful than standard brush strokes.

Vincent Van Gogh (Palette)

Although Van Gogh sold only one painting in his life, the aftermath of his work is enormous. Starry Night is one of the most well known images in modern culture as well as being one of the most replicated and sought after prints.
